NY/NJ Super Bowl thoughts:

Is anyone really surprised by the two teams in the Super Bowl this year?  It's only the second time since 1993 that we've had the two top seeds meet in the Super Bowl.  Clearly these were the 2 best teams in the league all season.  We have possibly the greatest offense we've ever seen (hurts me to say that with what Brady did with the almost perfect 2007 team) versus hands down the best defense in the league.  And both teams are relatively healthy going into the big game which is key.  We have the classy Manning versus the brash Sherman.  We have a coach in Fox who's just happy to be on the sidelines again after his mid-season surgery versus Carroll who left the NFL with his tail between his legs, only to resurrect his coaching career at USC and return with avengence.  Weather could play a factor in this one.  I really do hope its cold, windy with some snow.  Then Manning can really shut up his detractor about not winning in bad weather.  Last week's game against the Pats may have been played in Denver, but it certainly didn't feel like it with temperatures near 60 and sunny.  I will be rooting for the Seahawks but if Manning can win, there will be little left he needs to prove on an already hall of fame career.
